Apostles Ron and Hope Carpenter founded Redemption Outreach Center (ROC) in 1991. When the ministry began, there were only three members, and the first service was held in a cinderblock warehouse on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, off of Woodruff Rd. ROC met there for three years until God blessed the church with their first building on 74 Byrdland Drive. Shortly after this relocation, the congregation grew to over 200.

With outreach as its focus, souls were being saved weekly. The church soon added a second Sunday service. The name Redemption Outreach Center was changed to Redemption World Outreach Center because the Church had extended its arms to people and communties throughout the United States and the world. Today, with over 10,000 members, God continues to bless the ministry of RWOC where thousands of lives are now being transformed each year.
